    Dr. Brad Tamplin Jr

    FOUNDER AND HEADMASTER

    Dr. Bradley Tamplin, Jr. has been ministering to children and youth since the early 1980's. For the past 16 years, he's served as an elementary school teacher in the West Price Hill neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio. Bradley has been married to the fetching Mrs. Tamplin for 33 years, and is a life-long disciple of Christ. God has given him a heart for classical Christian education, and he's dedicated to forming wise, intelligent, passionate Jesus-lovers.

    Joshua M. Braun MEd, BA, BSN, RN

    FOUNDING BOARD MEMBER

    Joshua earned his Masters of Education in Secondary Education and teaching licensure with Honors from Grand Canyon University where he became a member of Kappa Delta Pi, the International Honor Society in Education. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from Ashland University. He most recently earned his BSN and RN licensure through Xavier University’s ABSN program and is currently a Registered nurse at Atrium Medical Center in the Emergency Department. Prior to teaching and bedside nursing he spent five years as an enlisted member of the United States Marine Corps where he deployed twice to help support and fight the global war on terrorism. He was honorably discharged obtaining the rank of Sergeant. He spent one year teaching English abroad in Kyrgyzstan and spent many summers in the outdoor education field as an assistant summer camp director while also overseeing the camp’s Wilderness camp program.

    Joshua is married to the love of his life Kayra A. Braun. The two have a house in German Village together where they enjoy “fixing up” and renovating their nearly 190 year old home. While not working at the hospital, Joshua enjoys reading (especially Tolkien and Lewis), the outdoors, spending time with family, Roman/Greek and Medieval history, and traveling. While not a product of a Classical Christian Education, Joshua cannot think of a more needed nor noble cause to rally behind than the Classical Christian education movement.

    A wife, a mother of four sons, three cherished daughters-in-law, four beautiful grandchildren, and a beloved daughter of the King.

    Her passion has always been to encourage and guide children and teens to embrace a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and she has channeled that passion toward that goal for over forty years. She serves as a powerful prayer warrior and community relations board member for SCA.

    Darlene Hight serves as Secretary for the SCA board. She worked, before retirement, as a Program Director for a job placement agency. Darlene specialized in jobs for the disabled community.
